SUNSHINER (violent content and language) 1hr 47min
BREIF THOUGHTS: Unfortunately, this movie will not win anything. It should. But it won't. This is the first truly great movie I've seen this year. An exceptionally brilliant blend of subject and theme, of the familiar and the extraordinary.
Never heard of it? Not surprising as it doesn't star anybody you'd recognize. Chances are it didn't even play in your city. (Or came and went so fast nobody even noticed.) But when the DVD comes out, put it on your MUST SEE list. The only reason I ever gave this movie a second thought was because of a friend's similarly glowing review. Trust us.
