BRIEF THOUGHTS: Wow. This movie is pure eye-candy for all children of the 80's. If you didn't grow up watching Transformers you'll never understand why our theater erupted into applause no less than seven times. And the applause was warranted as this live-action adaptation was visually spectacular. Sure, the story may have been flimsy. Sure, the direction may have been uneven. Sure, they could have remained a bit more faithful to the original cartoon. BUT... the movie experience was like having genuine childhood excitement handed to me on a platter. When Optimus Prime transformed for the first time, I kid you not, tears welled up.
Even Kerri thought this one was extra fun.
