| TS CHRIS |

I'm sure all of you have heard about the new Tropical Storm Chris, but as we are now on the West Coast, I only just heard about it yesterday and I was perusing weather.com.
The name Chris has been used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean. +1982's Tropical Storm Chris - made landfall at Sabine Pass and caused widespread flooding as far inland as Tennessee, but total damage was low.
+1988's Tropical Storm Chris - caused three deaths in Puerto Rico then made landfall near Savannah, Georgia, killing one in South Carolina. However, monetary damage was minor.
+1994's Hurricane Chris - formed in mid-Atlantic, brushed Bermuda as a tropical storm, then continued north. No significant damage.
+2000's Tropical Storm Chris - formed several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, but dissipated a day later. No damage was reported.
+2006's Tropical Storm Chris - currently active
Look out East Coast or Gulf of Mexico!
BOO-YA!

Gee, I live just north of the Gulf Coast, and I haven't even heard about it. I guess I should watch the news a little more often....
