CASUAL DISNEY

So, we've had our first casual Disney visit.

We visited Disney's California Adventure yesterday afternoon. We arrived around 3pm, rode a few attractions (Tower of Terror, etc.), saw the Aladdin Stage Spectacular, ate dinner while watching the Electrical Parade pass by, and... left.

It was absolutely pleasant. We didn't feel as though we needed to rush from ride to ride and/or ride EVERYTHING in the park. California Adventure, while it's no Disneyland, is growing on me. The new scenery is getting to be quite inviting. There are good rides, good restaurants, good parades, and a good atmosphere.

We are slowly getting around to doing it all. Here are some of the highlights from yesterday:

1.) The Aladdin Stage Spectacular! A very energetic, Broadway-style, audience pleasing stage show. We had excellent seats in the middle orchestra. Jasmine even winked at me during the performance.

2.) The Boudin Bakery Tour. They make LOTS of sourdough bread, and even hand you some when you walk into the walk-through tour. Since we waited until the end of the night, we got to see them wash the machines. Not as fun.

3.) The Mission Tortilla Factory. They make LOTS of tortillas. We watched the assembly line all the way down. At the end, they give you fresh, warm tortillas to eat! They also have a scale that shows your weight in tortillas...
Chris: 3200 tortillas
Kerri: 2150 tortillas
I could probably stand to loose a tortilla or two.

4.) It's Tough to be a Bug! 3-d experience. A VERY cute show that makes sure you are VERY involved. I had never been on it before, so I'm including it in the list.

5.) We ate at "Wine Country Trattoria at the Golden Vine Winery". A nice place with GREAT lasagna. We sat on the patio and watched the Electrical Parade go right by.

Hopefully this will be the first of many such casual Disney visits.

PS- These are not my pics. I just found them on the web. It was also nice to walk around Disney and not have a bag or camera to lug around.
