DAY ONE

Well... so much to say. It was an interesting day. It's Midnight (EST) (we arrived in Jackson, TN at 10:45 EST) and we are dead tired after 12.5 hours of travel, so this entry will be brief. Our truck is so loaded down I can't go any faster than 55mph without bouncing around and loosing control. As a result, our original travel itinerary is being changed as I write. The trip may now take six days instead of five as we cut down driving time. (It will leave us more time to write complete blog entries!)

Be sure to check out some of our "Moving/Day 1" photos on the photo page. The travel photos aren't that great, but they're the best we can do while driving. Maybe they will get better as we go along.

Enjoy!

*An extra special thanks to Marcella & Bugs who came down to W-S and helped us load up!

Glad you guys made it to Knoxville. Don't worry, once you hit Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona traffic really clears out and it's virtually a straight line to California. Speed limit is 75mph, though it looks like you won't be able to get near that. See you guys out there!

My butt gets numb thinking about your day of travel behind you and your days of travel ahead!
